A man was shot in the back with an air gun yesterday morning.
Police and ambulance crews were called to New Road, Rainham, just after 10.30am where they found the 40-year-old victim.
He was treated for a pellet wound to his back and taken to hospital. His injuries are not serious.
London Ambulance Service sent its hazardous area response team to the scene while the air ambulance was also called.
No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.
