A man has been identified and will be interviewed by police after a disabled commuter was pushed and slapped on a train.
The 40-year-old victim was travelling between London Liverpool Street and Gidea Park on May 24 when the assault took place.
The disabled man had been in the toilet when another passenger attempted to barge his way in.
After leaving the cubicle, the victim was subjected to a torrent of abuse and pushed to the ground.
The thug then refused to let the man up and slapped him across his face.
Investigating officer PC Daniel Huggins described the assault as “completely unacceptable”.
He said: “This assault left the victim with pain in his hip and meant he is now very anxious about using public transport.
