A man has attended a police station in Essex over a cycle video that appeared on YouTube in which a cyclist was assaulted by a van driver.
Essex Police have passed the investigation onto the Met as the incident took place in Emerson Park.
The video, which gathered over 60,000 hits, was filmed by the cyclist on a head-worn camera. It showed him being set upon after colliding with a van.
Essex Police said: “A man has voluntarily attended Chelmsford station to give an account of the incident and it has now been established it took place in the Hornchurch area and the matter has been passed to the Metropolitan Police to investigate.”
