A 51-year-old man has been charged over a con in which a blind man had £1,000 and his dead wife’s jewellery stolen.
Joe Saunders, of Long Lane, Grays appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with burglary with intent to steal and fraud by false representation.
He will appear in custody at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday next week.
