A man needed stitches to his face after being bottled in a late-night bar attack.
Alwyn Dowman, 38, of Sunrise Avenue Hornchurch, has been charged with GBH with intent following the assault at Vertigo Lounge in Station Lane, Hornchurch in the early hours of February 1.
The victim, who was found by police lying on the floor in the venue, was taken to hospital with facial injuries where he received stitches.
Mr Dowman appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on February 3 and was remanded in custody to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday for a plea hearing.
He was also charged with driving while disqualified.
