A 25-year-old man appeared in court today (Tuesday) accused of causing the death of a man by careless driving.
Gavin Whitlock, of Leconfield Walk, Hornchurch, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and direction hearing today.
A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf to a charge of causing the death of Robert Cattermole on December 16 last year by driving a Vauxhall Corsa in London Road, Stanway, without care and attention.
The case was adjourned until January 26 for a further case management hearing and a trial, which is expected to last two three days, is due to get under way on March 22 next year.
Mr Whitlock was granted unconditional bail.
