More than 170 cyclists have had their bikes security marked and registered for free.
Havering Safer Transport team and borough bike shops advised cyclists on how to minimise the chances of theft and provided free security marking and registration on bikeregister.com.
Chief Supt Sultan Taylor said: “Working with our policing partners and Transport for London we are using a range of tactics to tackle cycle theft and are determined to bring offenders to justice, to ensure that Londoners continue to get on their bikes this summer.”
