A teenager was attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning in Romford town centre.
The 18-year-old has been in hospital with head injuries since the assault in South Street, near The Battis, at 4.35am.
A 23-year-old man was arrested for GBH at the scene in connection with the assault and has now been bailed until September.
The victim’s condition is not thought to be life threatening or changing.
Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to contact Havering police on 101.
