Burglars have left a family in fear after ransacking their home while they were at hospital with their disabled daughter – with the crooks now suspected of “trawling” through their private emails.
The Gregory family returned to find burglars had taken £10,000 of jewellery, two laptops, seven watches and three iPads, from their Vine Street, Romford, terraced house.
Colin Gregory, 51, says the incident has left the family feeling “jumpy at the slightest noise”.
Since Monday’s raid, the password on Mr Gregory’s daughter’s email account has been changed, leading to fears the thieves are looking through the family’s emails.
Office worker Mr Gregory said: “It is bad enough having to take my daughter to the hospital, but then having to come home and find out we have been broken into.

Mr Gregory admits he does not know how the thieves broke into the house, which he shares with his wife Jane and two daughters.
