Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas has been banned from driving after being caught with no insurance and an expired MoT certificate.
Mr Cruddas was driving a Land Rover near Hyde Park on July 6 when he was pulled for what appeared to be a defective brake light.
The 50-year-old was later arrested and charged for driving with no insurance and with an expired MoT certificate.
He appeared at City of London Magistrates’ Court today and was disqualified from driving for eight weeks and ordered to pay a �200 fine, �85 costs and a �15 victim surcharge.
