A planning application to demolish a petrol station and replace it with an Aldi retail foodstore has been submitted.
The Shell petrol station, in Collier Row Road, Collier Row, could face demolition under the plan.
If the German supermarket chain, known for its budget products, is given the go ahead, the new branch of the store will be opened in late 2015.
A spokesman said: “We look forward to bringing Aldi’s excellent quality groceries at fantastic prices to Collier Row.
“This store will compliment our existing store in Marlborough Road, Romford.”
