Police confirm 17-year-old discharged from hospital with superficial burns after Collier Row ‘acid attack’

The 17-year-old victim of an apparent acid attack in Collier Row yesterday evening (Wednesday, August 15) was released from hospital last night and did not suffer any major injuries.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed the teenager, who was injured by a “noxious substance attack” in Collier Row Road at around 6.40pm, was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of superficial burns but was discharged “almost instantly”.
There have been no arrests and police enquiries continue.
