A child had a miraculous escape from serious injury this lunchtime when they walked away unscathed after being hit by a bus at a busy Gidea Park junction.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed officers were called to the junction of Balgores Lane and Main Road at midday to reports that a child had been hit by a bus.
The junction was closed briefly while officers determined what exactly had happened.
He said: “The roads have already reopened and it appears as though the child got up and walked away from the scene, so fortunately it doesn’t appear to have been anything too serious.”
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were not called.
