A car was set on fire in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Fire crews were called to Askwith Road, Rainham, at 4am and found a Smart car ablaze.
The fire was brought under control in half an hour.
Police also attended the scene, and forensic teams were seen taking samples from the car.
A large stretch of Upper Rainham Road was closed off for most of yesterday morning following a road traffic collision at about 1.50am.
