A teenager was hospitalised after being attacked by a gang of boys in an alleyway.
The victim, 14, suffered cuts and bruises when he was set upon in Mungo Park Road, Rainham at about 5.10pm on Friday evening.
Police cordoned off the alley way for much of the night.
Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the assault – two aged 14 and two aged 16. They have been bailed until early August.
