Police have issued a warning after being made aware of “bogus workmen” trying to take advantage of vulnerable and elderly people in the borough.
Havering Police believe a group of white males are going door-to-door telling residents that work needs to be carried out and they should sign contracts on the spot.
People are being asked to keep an eye out for anyone acting suspicious or pressuring elderly neighbours.
Officers have reminded residents to report anything suspicious by ringing 101 or call 999 if it’s an emergency.
