A gun silencer was found on a man after he was arrested over a fight in Romford train station this morning.
Police were called to the South Street station at 8.55am where a member of the public had been in an “altercation” with a worker.
Officers arrested a man on suspicion of public order offences in the nearby Havana Close and when searched, he was found to have a silencer on him.
Police are now searching the area nearby and have cordoned off The Battis alleyway next to the station.
Inquiries continue.
