A furious father attacked his daughter’s former partner after allegations the ex had hurt her, a court heard.
Lee Johns pleaded guilty to assault by beating of Daniel Crumpton as he appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday last week.
On October 10 a police officer visited Mr Crumpton’s home in Lynton Avenue, Collier Row, to get a statement following a report he assaulted his ex girlfriend.
While the statement was being taken the former partner’s father Johns turned up at the home. When the front door was opened the 44-year-old set upon Mr Crumpton and started “throwing punches,” the court heard.
Johns, of Warwick Close, Hornchurch, will be sentenced at a later date and was released on bail.
