A 41-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to raping and assaulting a woman, and to having a knife in a public place, in Rainham.
Scott Fallows, of Mortlock Court, Witta Road, Manor Park, is charged with one count of rape, two counts of assault by beating, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and one count of having a pruning knife in a public place.
He denies the charges, all of which are alleged to have taken place in Belmont Crescent in August.
Fallows will go on trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court on February 10.
