Police are appealing for witnesses after a 53-year-old man was left in hospital with a life threatening head injury, after a hit and run last night.
Officers were called to Lower Mardyke Avenue, Rainham, at 8.45pm, to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
The man was rushed to hospital, where he remains with head injury that is being treated as life threatening.
The car – described as silver coloured – did not stop.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or who has any information about the car possibly involved, to contact them.
