Tributes paid to ‘beautiful’ teen following fatal crash in Kelvedon Hatch

Social media has been awash with tributes following the death of a teenage girl who was hit by a car.
“Beautiful” Nancy Wilson, 15, was involved in a fatal collision in Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch, at about 8.10pm, near the The Eagle Pub on Friday.
The Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School pupil was taken to hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead in the early hours of Saturday.
The tragic news has had people posting tributes on Facebook and Twitter, with family and friends also leaving flowers near where she was hit.
Nancy’s friend Edd Buckley, 17, a radio host, posted a tribute video online, attracting more the 40,000 views in two days.
Edd, a Shenfield High School student, said: “She was beautiful, she was always bubbly, she was always laughing – she was a happy girl. I’m just really shocked and I’m gutted.
“The amount of people the video has touched is amazing, she’ll be really happy I’ve done it.”
On Facebook Annie Sullivan said: “Sleep tight Nancy, will always remember your beautiful smile.”
Alania Moore said: “RIP Nancy, love you, heaven has gained another angel.”
On Twitter, @harry_kimble said: “RIP Nancy, never forgotten.”
@billie_ayres said: “Just goes to show how grateful we should be for every day we live. You never know when it’ll be your last. So heartbreaking RIP Nancy.”
Nancy’s head of year Sara Sullivan said: “Staff and pupils are mourning the loss of Nancy Wilson. She was a bright, happy and confident young lady and the whole community is struggling to come to terms with the tragic news. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
A 64-year-old Brentwood man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and was bailed until June 30.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward and call Essex Police on 101.
