A shopping centre taught children how to strut their stuff on a catwalk in a bid to support two charities.

The Liberty shopping centre invited youngsters to build their confidence, teaching them how to walk on the runway and dress up like mini-models as part of their fashion parade for One Great Day.

Children posed like models on the big stage that was used ahead of The Liberty’s Summer Fashion Show Weekend while support for Haven House Children’s Hospice and Great Ormond Street Hospital flooded in with donations being made to bucket collectors.

General manager Jonathan Poole said: “We were thrilled to see children of all ages and confidence levels taking part in our ‘One Great Day’ catwalk parade and leaving as the next top model!

“We are extremely proud to be raising money for two excellent causes and look forward to sharing our next events with Romford and surrounding areas.”
