Rise Park woman tells of weekend carjacking horror in Gobions Avenue, Collier Row

A carjacker threatened to smash a teacher's face in before grabbing her by the arm, pulling her from the driver's seat of her brand-new car and making off with it.
Now police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following Bianca Taylor’s ordeal.
Mum-of-two Bianca Taylor, 36, had popped out to the off-licence in Gobions Avenue, Collier Row, in her grey Suzuki Swift, bought six weeks ago for £12,000.
The Broadford Primary School teacher was sat in the car chatting to a friend on her hands-free phone kit when the crook pulled open her door.
“I saw someone walking past out of the corner of my eye,” said Bianca, of Rise Park. “Then he ran up to my car, opened the door, screamed at me: ‘Get out of the car or I’m going to smash your effing face in,’ and pulled me out of my car. He bruised my arm.
“I was in complete and utter shock – I just panicked. My reaction was just to do what he said.
“I’m really cross with myself that I didn’t try and fight him off. It was over in a minute.
“I was really violently shaken. I’m quite tough so I probably put on a bit of a front to the police, but I wanted to go back to the off-licence yesterday and I had to get someone to come with me.
“My friend’s lent me a car and I’m locking all the doors. Normally I’m quite happy-go-lucky.”
Her iPhone, still in mid-call and lying on the passenger seat, was taken along with the car - leaving Bianca’s bewildered friend talking to the man who had just robbed her.
But when Bianca ran into the shop for help she realised she still had her car keys in her hand - meaning the crooks will struggle to restart the car, which was about to run out of petrol.
“My daughters had wanted to come out with me,” said Bianca, “but I left them at home with my mum.
“I could have had my three-year-old in the back.”
Det Dean Grafton from Havering CID said: “Due to the violent threats made against this victim I would urge anyone who can assist us to come forward immediately.
“We will handle all information supplied discreetly and in strictest confidence.”
The incident happened at about 7.30pm. If you have any information, or if you’ve seen the car - registration number EY63 HOJ - call Romford CID on 101.
