Havering Mind appeals for residents to vote for them to win Aviva Community funding

Havering Mind has been shortlisted for Aviva Community Funding, and is now asking for residents help to ensure it benefits from some of the money.
The mental health charity is proposing to use the money it would receive to fund a series of its Youth Mental Health First Aid training courses, which teach young people how best to look after their mental health, at schools around the borough.
A spokesman for the charity said: “If we get enough votes we will secure the funding!
“If we do win, we will be able to offer each school up to four
places on this training (usually worth £300 a place!)
“We believe this is a great opportunity to further increase the links between our organisations, and hopefully secure funding to be able to give your staff a fantastic opportunity to learn more about mental health and wellbeing.”
