Police are appealing for witnesses after a supermarket was burgled on the Sunday before Christmas.

Cigarettes worth a five-figure sum were taken from Budgens in High Street, Ingatestone.

The incident took place at about 11.40pm on December 21.

Anyone with information should call PC Fiona Smith at Brentwood police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
