Theatre group takes on hilarious period melodrama to raise funds for Cranham church

A Cranham drama group will be performing a period drama play to kick-start an appeal to refurbish the spire that towers above the All Saints Church.
The Oglethorpe Players will be performing the play '...And Never Called Me Mother' at the All Saints Vestry Hall.
Funds raised from the show will go towards an appeal to refurbish the spire that towers above the All Saints Church in Cranham.

Writer and director of the play, Gerry Sweeney told the Recorder: "The Players feel privileged to be associated with the fund raising activities to preserve this beautiful church and are delighted to announce that the production is supported and sponsored by Allen Ford Essex."
And Never Called Me Mother is showing at the All Saints Vestry Hall in The Chase on June 7 and 8 from 8pm.
Dinner is provided and guests are encouraged to bring their own drinks.
