�Four vehicles were seized and six people were arrested for a range of offences in a joint police operation.
Havering police officers joined forces with their colleagues from Essex Constabulary to tackle crime across their joint border, on Tuesday October 2.
Insp John Goodwin from the North Cluster Safer Neighbourhoods team, who led the operation, said: “The criminals do not recognise any borders and it is important that we co-ordinate our policing operations with colleagues from Essex Police.
“My officers produced some fantastic work and we are all determined to tackle the dreadful crime of residential burglary and we will be carrying out similar joint operations in the future.”
Combat
In total more than 75 vehicles and 40 people were stopped during the operation.
The operation saw both teams working together to try to combat residential burglary and other offences.
They used a range of tactics including automatic number plate reading technology, knife arches outside of Romford and Harold Wood railway stations, search warrants and the deployment of unmarked vehicles to target known offenders.
