The large quantity of weed was found in an Upminster home


A man has been summoned to court after his black Vauxhall Zafira crashed into a BP garage off the A127 at Hornchurch.

The 34-year-old was taken to hospital after the incident, which took place on Saturday near the Palms Hotel on Southend Arterial Road at about 8.30am.

Paramedics and police were on the scene.

The Met’s traffic team is investigating the cause of the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
