Brentwood Council is looking at improving the borough’s golf course to get more people using it.

The council said its asset, infrastructure and localism panel has been investigating commercial interest and said that partners would be keen to work with them to improve Brentwood Golf Course and last week the panel decided to seek bids for a lease of the site.

Cllr Russell Quirk, chairman of the asset, infrastructure and localism panel, said: “I’m pleased that we making sure that Brentwood Golf Course improves by seeking investment in the facility.

“We will be making sure that the course works better for its users through ensuring both that anyone can turn up and play and through the improvements that working with our partner will bring. This initiative promises a bright future for the facility.”
