Conner Read and James Hearne of Romford jailed for more than 60 burglaries

Two Romford men were jailed for a total of more than 60 burglaries.

A Havering police press release said Conner Read, 19, of Highfield Road, and James Hearne, 21, of Turpin Avenue, received 16-month and 13-month sentences respectively at Basildon Crown Court last month after pleading guilty to a burglary in Gilbert Road in April, where they attacked a man and stole in excess of 1000 cash.

They admitted to the other offences during questioning and these were taken into consideration during sentencing.

DI Andy Brown of Havering police said: “These convictions, and those crimes that were taken into consideration, were obtained through the tireless endeavours of officers on within the CID [Criminal Investigation Department] at Havering.

“This is an outstanding example of officers revisiting investigations and obtaining closure for the victims.”
