A conman robbed a Rainham woman at knifepoint and made off with her BMW – after she advertised it in Auto Trader.

The suspect, an Asian man aged about 30 to 35, arranged to look at the car in Fyfield Road on June 23rd.

But while viewing the silver 1 series BMW at 3.50pm, he threatened the 49-year-old victim with a knife and took the car.

The man was described as about 5’8”, with short black hair and a beard. He was wearing a shiny Adidas tracksuit. The car has not been recovered.

Anyone who saw the robbery or knows anything about the suspect or the whereabouts of the car is urged to contact DC Andy Fearne at Romford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
