Commuters were facing transport chaos this morning as C2C trains were delayed or cancelled for the second day running.

A signal fault in Upminster at around 6am disrupted C2C services and affected the rest of the line.

National Rail tweeted disruptions between Pitsea, Grays and London Fenchurch Street are expected until 11am this morning.

Greater Anglia and the London Underground are assisting passengers to get to their destinations.

TFL services between Shenfield and Liverpool Street are also disrupted due to an earlier faulty train and Romford station was closed shortly for overcrowding earlier this morning.

Some commuters also reported no trains were running through Rainham.

Yesterday morning, trains were also delayed and cancelled after a lorry hit a railway bridge between West Horndon and Upminster.

Commuters whose tourney has been delayed by more than 30 minutes can claim compensation by visiting the C2C website.
