Young football players received new additions to their kit, last week, courtesy of a new sponsor.

Collier Row Youth Football Club under 14’s team received new away kits, raincoats and track suits from Co-op Funeralcare, North Street, Romford.

Team manager Glen Ferris, said he was “pleased” the company were able to support the youths.

“The boys love their new kits, and we’re all extremely grateful to our new sponsors,” he said.

“Our club is at the heart of the local community and plays a key role in engaging youngsters and bringing them together through sport.

“We know how passionate the Co-op Funeralcare team is about getting involved in local projects like ours and we’re so pleased they were able to support us.”

Funeral director Christopher Saunders added: “We believe it’s vital to remain an active part of the community you’re in, so we’re always looking to give local projects and causes the support they need to continue their excellent work.

“This football club is so ingrained within our community that we couldn’t wait to get involved, and we’re thrilled that we’ve been able to contribute to the success of the team.”
