The girls celebrate their win at The Copper Box.

A school’s netball team brushed away the competition to win a tournament at The Copper Box, in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on Saturday.

Clockhouse Primary School, in Clockhouse Lane, Collier Row, won the Plate Trophy in the Surrey Storm London Live Netball schools competition, winning the final 4-2.

Nine-year-old Lily Stuart-Evans, playing two years above her age group, was named player of the tournament.

PE teacher Andy Yarrow said: “To win the Plate competition was a great team effort and all the girls should be proud of their achievements. The school is very proud.”
