A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a hand injury following a collision in Collier Row this morning (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called at about 7.30. An ambulance crew and a single LAS worker in a car were sent to the scene, where they treated the motorcyclist, reported to be in his 30s. He was taken to Queen’s Hospital. Police said his injuries were not serious.

The accident, which involved the motorbike and a black Ford Focus, took place at the junction of Eastern Avenue and Mawney Road. Police closed Mawney Road, and reopened it at 8.24am.
