Two big-hearted Elm Park cyclists are putting foot to pedal for charity.

Richard Warnes and Brett Thake will be among seven members of the Romford CC cycling club taking on the “London to Surrey 100” bike ride.

Romford CC meets at the cycle surgery inside Rom Valley Way’s Snow and Rock outdoor shop.

Brett, 34, will be completing the 100 miles ride in memory of his dad Robert who died of kidney failure 10 years ago.

His efforts will be raising cash for Kidney Research.

Meanwhile Richard, 43, is dedicating his perspiration to Scope.

“It makes me smile and laugh listening to kids and parents together,” explained the Benhurst Avenue resident, “and Scope is a charity that helps disabled kids and families work together.”
