Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity that provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

The Romford fundraising group was set up in 2011 to raise funds for the charity.

Despite our busy lives, we have found time to organise a whole range of fundraising events, including quiz nights, a zumba evening, collections at local stores and most recently An Evening at Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium.

Our chairman is

We have a fun casino evening at Maylands Golf Club planned for September.

We organise some fantastic events and it’s rewarding to see all our ideas come to life.

It’s so nice to be part of a friendly team of people, working together, so that Macmillan can make a real difference to those affected by cancer.

Last year we raised over £8,000 and this year we are looking to beat that.

We are always happy to welcome new members, who would like to throw their ideas into the mix.

So, if you are looking to get out and meet some new friends, whilst doing something positive and rewarding, then we would love to hear from you.
