As we go into the year 2015, the boys return to both school and football training after a well-deserved two week break over Christmas.

We are now half way through the 2014/2015 football season so it is a chance to mark the progress of both teams on the season so far.

The Under 9 team have been playing superb football and remain undefeated this season. Top scorers with 61 goals from thirteen matches. The same ten players have now started their third season together, and the skills of the squad are improving every week. The boys always give 100 per cent effort in both training and their matches on Sunday.

This continued dedication each week has meant the results speak for themselves with the quality of goals we score and the determination from the whole squad to defend all game and keep a clean sheet. Brilliant performances from Callum, Carter, Caspar, Danyal, Harrison, Jack, Louis, Marco, Obi and Oliver all season. Overall team mark to date is an A star.

The Under 11 team joined the Echo A division which is a very strong league. Having won the League and Cup double in the Thundermite League the previous two seasons, we knew the standard of the opposition players would be high.

We started the season really well, but had a poor run of form over half term and lost a few games in a row. The boys have still managed to score the most goals in the league, but unfortunately let in a few avoidable goals.

Dedication, hard work and commitment in both training and matches should see the U11 team remain in this top division. We can then try and push on next season.

The boys have the skill sets to get back to winning ways, so with a bit more concentration Archie, George, Jack, Jimmy, Luke, Matteo, Oliver, Oscar, Owen, Peter, Raees and Taylor can get the team back to their normal high standard. Overall mark for the season is a B minus.

Thank you to the sponsors LMC and The Oriental for their continued support of the club.
