Classic car fans helped St Francis Hospice’s fundraising drive – while having a hoot at a fun day.
Frankie’s Classic Car and Family Fun Day raised more than 7,500 for the charity on Sunday (September 2) at the Ford Dunton Technical Centre, Laindon.
Event organiser and volunteer Alan Mason said: “It was a great day and I want to thank all those who showed their cars, the exhibitors, volunteers and visitors who made the day so successful, and to Ford for allowing us use of their wonderful facilities.”
The event included an appearance by Perry McCarthy, the original “Stig” from TV Show Top Gear, who handed out prizes to cars awarded top of their class.
