As the festive adverts are gradually popping up on our TV screens and talks of present giving begins, we think it's now OK to start talking about Christmas.

Romford Christmas Lights Switch-on

Market Place, Romford, tonight from 4.30-6.30pm.

The evening will involve live performances from winner of The Voice Kids Jess Folley, X Factor contestant Taliah Delarto, rapper Absonetti, SupaNova LED light show dancers and the cast of Beauty and the Beast pantomime from Queen’s Theatre.

Hornchurch Christmas Cracker Event

Hornchurch town centre, November 18 from 2-5.30pm.

The fun-filled event will feature children’s rides, a Santa’s Grotto and a performance from The Haverettes Girls Marching Band.

Upminster Christmas Event

Upminster town centre, November 23 from 4-6pm.

Children’s rides, carol singing, festive street entertainment and a free elf themed treasure trail will all be there on the night for families to enjoy.

Illuminating Elm Park Christmas event

Elm Park town centre, November 24 from 4-6pm.

Featuring a Santa’s grotto, choir, sweet stalls, bedrock radio, circus acts, children’s games, steel band and much more.

Collier Row’s Christmas Event

Collier Row town centre, December 1 from 4-7.30pm

This festive evening will include a Santa’s grotto, carol singing, face painting, a nativity scene, funfair stalls and a tombola.

Rainham Village Christmas Fayre

Rainham Village, December 2 from 10am-4pm.

The night will feature Jordan’s Irish Dancers, The Russellettes Majorette Troupe, Lightnin Drama group, The Singing Princesses, Father Christmas with elves and La Salette and Parsonage Farm School Choirs in the church.
