Pupils and staff at Brentwood County High School have collected almost 300 boxes of gifts for Operation Christmas Child.
All form groups took part in the appeal organised by Samaritan’s Purse which sends the boxes to disadvantaged children.
Headteacher Stephen Drew said: “When I first arrived at the school and was told we would be donating around 200 shoe boxes I was amazed.
“The fact that this year’s total is almost 300 boxes is a sure sign of the community spirit and dedication of our students, parents and staff. I am immensely proud of everyone in our school community.”
