A Christmas concert featuring has raised more than �1,500 for St Francis Hospice.

Christmas Voices 2012 took place at St Andrew’s Church, Hornchurch on Saturday, and included St Francis Hospice Choir, St Andrew’s Church Choir, The Can’t Sing Choir and Sound Company and was conducted by John Morris.

More than 200 people attended the fundraiser and the hospice choir was made up of volunteers and staff including chief executive Pam Court.

Choir member Jan Lessons, said: “It was a wonderful evening and I felt privileged to be part of the hospice choir. There was lots of audience participation too, which was lovely.”

Event organiser John Morris, who conducts two of the choirs and is a member of St Andrew’s Church choir, said: “We have been holding a festive concert for 20 years and it went very well. It was the first time the hospice choir has performed at a concert and we look forward to many more appearances.”
