The Essex Wildlife Trust in Broxhill Road, hosted various family events during half-term, one of which was a Gingerbread Man Day on Thursday, February 15.

Children started out on a trail to find the gingerbread man, learning the story along the way and meeting the characters, including a cow, horse and farmers.

A spokeswoman from Bedfords Park said: “Essex Wildlife Trust at Bedfords Park ran a successful Gingerbread Man Day during the February half-term.

“The children didn’t get to the gingerbread man in time, and just like the little old lady and little old man we headed back to the centre to decorate a gingerbread man.”

Families were also treated to events such as Nature Tots, Den Building, Forest Sundays and a Bird of Prey event during the half-term.
