More celebrities and former West Ham players including Carlton Cole, Danny Jones from McFly and Dean Gaffney from Eastenders have confirmed that they will be taking part in a charity football match to raise funds for a three-year-old girl from Hornchurch with a rare form of cancer.

Isla Caton was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma in March last year, and several TV stars and former Hammers have already said they will be playing.

Now more stars have said they will be taking part including former West Ham striker Carlton Cole, Danny Jones who is a judge on The Voice Kids UK, Dan Osbourne from The Only Way is Essex fame and Dean Gaffney from Eastenders.

The match will take place at Redbridge Football Club as a team of celebrities and ex-footballers will take on a side of Isla’s family, friends and fundraisers.

Isla’s mum Nicola Caton and dad, Michael Hook have been trying to raise £192,000 to pay for their little girl to travel to America to receive a vaccine for her cancer, and they are hoping the football match can help them reach their target.

Ex Hammers players, Matthew Etherington, Paul Konchesky, Kenny Brown and Jack Collison have all confirmed they will be playing in the game, along with professional boxer Mark little, The Apprentice star Sofiane Khelfa and comedian Neg Dupree who is best known for his act “Neg’s Urban Sports” on tv show Balls of Steel.

This week Team Isla confirmed to the Recorder that more celebrities and stars have signed up to raise funds for the three-year-old from Hornchurch.

Former Fulham and West Ham player Rufus Brevett will be part of the side, and in goal will be Jimmy Walker who made over 400 appearances for Walsall and was part of West Ham’s promotion winning side in 2004-05.

Up front will be former Hammers striker Marlon Harewood, who was West Hams top goalscorer in 2004-2005 when they made the jump back to the Premier League.

Another TV star taking part will be Essex boy Jeff Brazier, who has appeared in Dancing on Ice and Loose Women, and also appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap with his former partner Jade Goody before she died in 2009.

The ‘Romford Battler’ - snooker player Mark King will also be lacing up his boots to take part in the match, as will Romford boxer Sammy McNess.

The match will be taking place at Redbridge FC next Sunday (May 6) at 2pm.

Adult tickets will be £10, children (2-12 years old) £5 and children under two are free.
