A national charity celebrated its seventh anniversary at its Hornchurch store on Tuesday.

The British Heart Foundation shop in the High Street, invited the Mayor of Havering, Cllr Lynden Thorpe to celebrate with a party.

The 71 volunteers who help were invited to the anniversary party and were presented with certificates before tucking in to the buffet.

Jo Mills, store manager, said: “I have been with the charity for 15 years, and seven years in this shop. It has been a good seven years and the donations from the local people have been amazing. I wanted to say thank you to everyone for their support.”
