To encourage shoppers to Romford Town Centre, the council has held the cost of on-street parking charges at £2 for two hours.

In all other parts of the borough, charges have risen to £1.50 for up to two hours.

Parking for 30 minutes or less is still free but costs for parking permits have risen by £10 per year.
