CCTV footage shows suspect wanted in connection with Romford assault

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to trace in connection with a violent assault.

The attack happened on Sunday, December 4, in London Road, Romford, at 8.50pm, when a 52-year-old man was parking his car and was approached and asked to wind down his window.

He complied and the man punched him repeatedly - leaving him in hospital with serious injuries. He has since been discharged.

The suspect is described as black, bald and clean shaven, and was wearing grey tracksuit trousers and a navy parka coat with a fur trimmed hood and a large rectangular patch on the left of the chest.

Det Con Jonathan lam said: “There appears to have been no motive for this attack and the victim was left beaten and bloody. I would ask anyone with information about this incident to contact police.”
