Car overturns in Emerson Park last night after driver allegedly tries to escape thieves

A car overturned last night when the driver crashed with a parked van.

Police were called at 6.23pm on Wednesday, November 14, to Butts Green Road, Emerson park, to a report of a collision.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and told officers that he collided with the van after “unknown suspects tried to steal his vehicle” and he tried to escape.

No arrests have been made.

Enquiries continue.
