A car crashed into the front of a house this afternoon causing considerable damage to the three storey property.

The accident occurred at around midday, in Lessington Avenue, Romford, but fortunately there have been no reports of injuries.

From the photo you can see the collision has left the front window of the house, and surrounding brick work, to cave in. The car appears to have suffered minimal damage.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said: “The brigade was called at 12.01pm and the incident was over for firefighters at 12.52pm.

“Fire crews from Dagenham, Hainault and Edmonton attended the scene.”
