A man was taken to hospital after his car collided into road bollards during rush hour in Romford last night.
At around 5.30pm the black Volvo saloon collided with the bollards on Victoria Road.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said that the driver, a man in his fifties, was taken to Queen’s Hospital, suffering from minor injuries.
There were traffic jams in the area following the incident.
Network Rail announced the removal of the bollards at the beginning of the year.
